wTVision’s ChannelMaker is contributing to the unprecedented FIFA World Cup 2022 TV experience that TVE is providing via DTT to Spanish homes.

In partnership with Mediapro, wTVision´s playout automation system manages the live broadcast of the World Cup Football matches in UHD HDR. Bringing Dolby Atmos together with graphics and other UHD HDR videos before and after each match.

This is the first DTT broadcast worldwide in UHD-4K of an event with this complexity and duration.

TVE will broadcast a total of 20 matches with the highest image and sound quality, being the first DTT broadcast in UHD HDR with Dolby Atmos, as well.

The UHD Spain Association has managed this RTVE effort, which will broadcast the World Cup for the first time free-to-air in Spain since 1998. It brings together businesses, and organizations that are part of the UHD Spain Association.
