The broadcast coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2022 has the imprint of wTVision. Our team presented a cutting-edge touchscreen solution together with augmented reality in Sport TV’s coverage of the most important football competitions in the world, on their pre-and post-match studio shows.
The Portuguese channel Sport TV features an intuitive touchscreen solution from wTVision that allows sports anchors to interact with it and make the viewer's experience more interesting, bringing more emotion and engagement to football fans.
This touchscreen solution comprises GRFX components that are already set up to show the real-time World Cup data feed from OPTA. All of this was specifically created for the World Cup this year, demonstrating once more wTVision's ability to assist in covering large-scale tournaments.
Sport TV’s anchors were able to showcase and interact with an impressive amount of data. For instance, with our touchscreen, it was possible to show general statistics from the match, individual data from every player, individual and collective heat maps, for example, and it was also possible to select these actions according to the first or second half of the game or full-time.
Using this interactive touchscreen technology, we made this coverage more dynamic and engaging for the audience. This technology can operate independently or as part of the whole PCR workflow offered by wTVision.
In addition to the touchscreen, our team also developed augmented reality graphics featuring the stadiums where the matches are taking place, teams, tactical lineups, and players’ profiles, among other types of data that completely revolutionizes the way viewers engage with the show and with the match itself.
