Playout Automation
Updates: Playout AutomationNovember 30, 2021

ChannelMaker is now prepared to work in fully virtual environments and run the SMPTE 2110 protocol. Additionally, get the chance to discover more about our new tool: Time Delay.

wTVision’s ChannelMaker is now completely prepared to run on IP-based workflows and fully virtual playout environments, using the SMPTE 2110 protocol. The IP-driven playout automation solution has long been a major goal for wTVision, which is now ready to build and operate fully virtual machines or IP-based workflows with OEM hardware.

For our virtual environment solution, we partnered with nVidia and its high-performance computing solutions. But ChannelMaker can also run on the SMPTE 2110 protocol integrated with OEM hardware.

This IP solution using the SMPTE 2110, can be leveraged to do away with a lot of traditional broadcast technologies and to use virtual machine technologies to playout using IP-based video.

This groundbreaking solution will bring significant changes to the broadcast industry, including reducing costs, reducing space needed for the playout operation, building a much more efficient working model, and providing better performance.

As for our new tool, Time Delay, provides adjustable broadcasting delays and allows channels to completely control their content across multiple platforms, timezones, and live programming.

With no need for a complex operation or installation, Time Delay has been a key player in helping networks adjust live content and the advertisement insertion across a wide variety of timezones and platforms.

wTVision’s Time Delay runs on every playout automation system and guarantees an HD broadcast even with the recorded footage.
