wTVision contributed to Sport TV’s coverage of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League by providing augmented reality (AR) graphics that enhanced both pre- and post-match studio segments. These AR elements were designed to present match data and tactical insights visually engaging and informatively, enriching the overall broadcast experience for viewers.
Sport TV used AR graphics to display key statistics and player performance data, seamlessly integrating this information into their studio environment. The AR system was customized to include pre-configured GRFX components, which drew on real-time data from OPTA.
By incorporating AR graphics, developed using the Unreal Engine, Sport TV added a new dimension to their Champions League and Europa League coverage, offering fans a more analytical and engaging perspective on each match. This is a continuation of the work that wTVision has been developing with Sport TV for the coverage of these competitions like the touchscreen previously introduced here.
This continuous approach aimed to enhance the storytelling and presentation of key moments, supporting a deeper understanding of the game during major competitions like these.
