Radio Television of Serbia, Serbian public broadcaster, RTS, had the help of wTVision to cover the biggest football event in the world, the FIFA World Cup 2022. In partnership with Sports Digital Host and Kompani digiTV, we developed a touchscreen solution for RTS with augmented reality graphics during the coverage of the competition on their pre and post match studio shows, to make the football fan’s experience even more spectacular.
This solution consists of a GRFX component pre-configured to display OPTA’s World Cup real time data feed. All of this was specially designed for this year’s World Cup, proving once again wTVision’s capacity to help cover competitions of a bigger scale.
With our interactive touchscreen solution, we can enhance any broadcast's dynamic and audience engagement. It can operate independently or as part of the whole PCR workflow offered by wTVision. This touchscreen system can be taken a step further with an add-on that enhances the visual experience by integrating Augmented Reality.
Some of the main benefits of this solution are its interactivity and enhanced insights, how easy it is to show the matches’ statistics, a seamless integration with any of the main systems, video import in real time, data display from external sources, social media integration and also, in this particular project, the ability to integrate with Viz Libero, a sports analysis solution combining 3D virtual enhancements with telestration tools.
Our team was also able to “teleport” a reporter in Qatar into the studio and, therefore, enrich even further the proximity between the audience and the ones who are at the scene giving a first-person testimony of all that’s happening in the competition.
