Elections CG debuts on the stage of the Colombian political sceneOctober 28, 2015

Working for RTVC, wTVision (on-air graphics company) and TELEVÍDEO (production company) worked in technical collaboration, for the first time in one of the most competitive journeys of the broadcast industry: an election coverage! On October 25th, the colombian people went to the polls, to vote for the regional elections, and Canal Institucional conducted an informative coverage of reference in Colombia. For more than 12 hours of broadcast, Elections CG, wTVision’s dedicated software that imports, manages and transforms detailed data into high resolution graphics, in real-time, followed the statistical progress of the results of all municipalities of Colombia. Official data was imported from Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil. This was an ambitious project that featured the information through different type of graphics: augmented reality graphics (using two cameras), full-screen (to be shown at home and on a led wall, present on the studio) and a permanent overlay graphic. The virtual graphics made easier the direct interaction of the presenter with the statistics. All these outputs were managed from Elections CG. The election coverage happens minute by minute and, to support the political analysts, wTVision also provided itsElections Commentator, a web application that gives a live view of what is happening at all times, providing detailed knowledge of the electoral results. wTVision is one of the most experienced companies in the world, having provided broadcast graphics services in over 100individual election projects, in 11 countries.
